My least favorite day of the year but also my most favorite day of the year, because no matter how short the day is today I know that tomorrow it'll be just a little bit longer.
Isn't it kind of odd how solstice seems to happen rather early in the season? I don't understand how that works. In any case, look at that angel of yours!
Jane, it takes a while for the atomosphere/earth to heat up/cool down, so the hottest temps/lowest temps tend to be about month after the longest/shortest day. (My dad is a physicist, so he raised me on this stuff.)
It's barely getting light here these days - ugh! But yes, roll on the longer days!
