Hello. Please allow me to introduce you to the easiest pants to make on the face of the planet - the Oliver and S Nature Walk Pants. They consist of just three pattern pieces, they can be sewn together in no time flat, and yet they're as cute as can be.
Needless to say, I heart them and amazingly so does O, who often refuses to wear many of the things that I make her. In this case though she actually picked them out of the hamper and asked to wear them again (and, of course, I said yes! Dirty pants never hurt anybody, right?)
Pattern: Oliver and S Nature Walk Pants
Size: 3T - although I sewed the entire pants with a 1/2 inch seam allowance rather than the called for 1/4 inch because I was too lazy to walk upstairs and check the pattern. Fortunately they still fit and I kind of like the slimmer fit that I got with the larger seam allowance.
Fabric: Cotton jersey
And an extra special thanks to Elsie Marley for hosting KCWC once again. I'm ridiculously behind on reading blogs but once I get caught up (say around 2014) I can't wait to see what everyone has made.

Cool! And I'm sure my mum made me wear my trackies for the whole weekend before they got near the washing machine ;o)
ReplyDeletesuper cute! i am going to have to try this pattern out!
ReplyDeleteThey do look so comfy but a nice shape too. I didn't notice the detail at the back before. Might have to give these a try.
ReplyDeleteI love the slim fit. And Clem wore visibly dirty retrieved-from-the-floor pants all day yesterday, nothing wrong with that.
ReplyDeleteCool detail on the tush. It's good to know I'm not the only one who pulls clothes out of the hamper to wear again... *phew!*
ReplyDeleteOh those are cute! How do they compare to the bedtime sroty PJs in fit/ease of sewing?
ReplyDeleteThese look like pants I could sew! Super cute!
ReplyDeletesuper cute and they look so comfortable.
ReplyDeleteLove the pants. Wish I could pick up the pattern for my girls because they would wear them all the time.
ReplyDeleteSo cute and cozy. I really need to stop being cheap and just buy some Oliver and S patterns already!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern too! They look a little "yoga-pants-y" on a boy, I find (although I have considered them for PJ bottoms), so I am looking forward to sewing up lots of girl versions in the future! I am also intrigued by the Nature Walk top, but I've never actually sewed it up. Hmmm.
ReplyDeleteThese are so cute! I bought this pattern well over a year ago and have been too scared to try the knit pants (I'm not sure me and knits are on a close-knit basis - har! har!). Love the pattern review. I'm pretty sure I can handle three pieces.
ReplyDeleteThis was actually one of my very first knit projects (if not very first ...) and got me excited about sewing with knits. O+s patterns really hold your hand through the process. Try it!
DeleteI haven't made this one yet! (buried in my stash since it was released)
ReplyDeleteAnd it looks so comfy! (and quick - Can't beat 3 pieces, right!?)
