Between work, life and everything in between, it seems as if my birthday snuck up on me this year.
But despite its sneaky ways, we still found some time to celebrate (and by celebrate, I mean that I got to do whatever I wanted all weekend long... hiking, shopping, sewing, and eating massive amount of carrot cake...it's good to be one year older).
Oh, and did I mention that I totally kicked my sister's butt in a birthday arm wrestling contest? (What? You don't have those at your house?) I should say for the record, though, that you've never met two people with less upper-body strength)
How did I get so behind in my blog reading? (Answer: Maternity leave. Without the quiet (and, er, boredom) of my office, I do not read my blogs.) Happy birthday! Mine's coming up just a couple weeks after I return to work in October (and as usual, it is right before the end of my billable year at work, when everyone is crazed trying to get their hours in - work has been ruining my birthday for coming up on ten years now, sigh). The good part is that I think I will be too busy to be concerned about now being closer to 40 than 30. Eeep!
Happy birthday to you! Sounds like a fab way to spend a weekend, and huge congrats on the win ;o)
